SUMMARY:PRIDE Artist Event!
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday June 13th from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.\, the Ohio Feminist Art Museum will be open!!! We have recently remodeled our museum and are excited about our progress in fulfilling our Mission.\n\n\n\nWe will be hosting our Ohio Pride Artist Event of 2026. We will present five amazing Feminist Artists who will be sharing their art with us\, along with selling their art. We will also be hosting the African American Drum Circle\, along with a bonfire from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.\n\n\nWe are also excited to announce Anastasia Sotnikova\, our new Program Coordinator\, will be present at this event.  She is a doctoral student in Art Administration\, Education\, and Policy at The Ohio State University\, where she focused on Museum Education. With a background in marketing communications\, she brings both strategic thinking and creativity to her work at the intersection of art\, education\, and community engagement. She is especially interested in how art can bring people together—her research explores ways to foster dialogue among artists\, institutions\, and diverse communities while creating more inclusive and meaningful experiences. Drawing on queer\, feminist\, and participatory approaches\, she works to expand access to the arts and deepen how audiences connect with them.\n\n\nJOIN US in our small part in trying to make a difference in this world.\n\nArtists include:\nLisa Morris\, Debb Cusick\, Kenia LaMarr\, Eve Silina\, K. Rossi.

SUMMARY:Her Chapter - Ohio Feminist Art Museum Book Club
DESCRIPTION:From The Standard:\nThey wanted the body of a child and the cynicism of a woman \n\n“Then her father took over her life. In her telling\, he treated her for his alcoholism. It reads like a Tennessee Williams play. Her family are control freaks: she wouldn’t let her mother hold her son for the first two months of his life. But what her father did was more calculating and avaricious. He had her put under a conservatorship. He told her what to eat\, when to exercise\, and he wouldn’t let her drive. But she worked nonstop so her family could live in luxury. She complied so she could see her sons and had a long Las Vegas residency in which her father wouldn’t let her change her songs. This went on for 13 yearse.” \n\n\nPlease join us at OFAM’s new location at 6:00 p.m. on August\, 2026 to discuss this quarter’s book: “The Woman in Me” by Britney Spears. \n\nQuick Details\n\nWhen: Thursday\, August 6\, 6:00 p.m.Where: Ohio Feminist Art Museum\, 635 Park Meadow Road\, Suite 107\, Westerville\, OH 43081What: “The Woman in Me” by Britney Spears\, Snacks\, & Critical Discussion \n\n\nJoin our Book Club Facebook Group for event updates and to RSVP or email info@ofamuseum.org to confirm your attendance!
