We need your support!
In January 2024, The Ohio Feminist Art Museum – “OFAM” was established as the first feminist art museum in the United States. With the generous financial support of our members and sponsors, we were able to accomplish many of our goals, which included establishing a board of directors and becoming approved as a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Since then, we’ve established policies and procedures, created legal contracts for donors to donate feminist art and artifacts, applied and received multiple grants, hosted multiple art and music events, and enhanced our online presence with a new and very capable website.
In 2025, we continued working to build a solid foundation with the support of women and organizations throughout Ohio. We applied for and received two grants from the Ohio Art Council and one grant from the Greater Columbus Art Council which provided us the means to host multiple art and music events, and purchase marketing materials, operational equipment such as a computer, a credit card machine, etc. We were also honored to apply and were granted a 5-year sustainability grant through the Ohio Arts Council. Because of these funds, in March 2026, we opened the first physical space for OFAM located in Westerville, Ohio. It is dedicated to supporting our mission of celebrating and preserving feminist art and culture. Through exhibitions, education, and community events, we bring the history of women to life and inspire future generations to value the stories of women who helped to shape our world.
Your support is essential for the continued operations and growth of OFAM. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to maintain our collections, pay our rent and operating expenses, create engaging exhibits, and provide educational opportunities for all ages. Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful impact.
With your help, we can continue to:
- Operate the physical space for the Ohio Feminist Art Museum
- Protect and expand our collections of art and cultural artifacts
- Host artist events; including concerts, visual arts, book clubs, workshops, Gaia Garden and more
- Host community events that promote cultural understanding
- Be present at Ohio art and community festivals with informational tables that promote women in the arts, highlight OFAM, and invite people to get involved.
- Identify women who are Trailblazers and Changemakers by creating a format for them to tell their stories.
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution today. Together, we ensure that the feminist treasures of today are available for generations to come. Thank you so much for your support!
