Gallery Assistant Volunteer (Part-Time, 4-8 Hours per Week, In-Person)

Location: Westerville, OH  |  Hours: 4–8 hours during weekends depending on availability

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Gallery Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our museum and help create a welcoming, engaging experience for visitors. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in museums, cultural spaces, community engagement, and feminist values.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and prepare the museum for visitors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable gallery environment.
• Welcome visitors and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
• Assist with administrative tasks and general museum operations.
• Support the planning and delivery of museum events, workshops, and special programs.
• Help ensure the gallery runs smoothly during opening hours.

Newsletter Volunteer (2–3 Hours per Week, Remote)

Location: Primarily remote  |  Commitment: 2–3 hours per week

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and creative Newsletter Volunteer to help keep our community informed and engaged. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, digital communications, and organizing information while supporting an organization dedicated to feminist values and social justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and distribute 2 email newsletters per month.
• Edit newsletter content highlighting museum news, events, educational programs, and community initiatives.
• Support the organization and maintenance of the newsletter database and mailing lists.
• Collaborate closely with the Social Media Volunteer to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated communications.
• Contribute ideas to improve audience engagement and newsletter performance.

Social Media Volunteer (2–4 Hours per Week, 90% Remote)

Location: 90% remote (occasional in-person attendance for events or content creation opportunities)  |. Commitment: 2–4 hours per week

We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Volunteer to help grow our online presence and engage our community. If you’re passionate about storytelling, social impact, and feminist values, this is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while building your communications portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for Instagram and Facebook, including:
o Approximately 1 feed post per week
o 4–8 stories per week
• Develop compelling text and simple visual content aligned with our mission and brand.
• Contribute to the development and planning of the social media content calendar.
• Help communicate museum activities, events, educational programs, and campaigns.
• Stay up to date with social media trends and suggest creative ideas to increase engagement.
