After years of dreaming, gathering, and building community, the Ohio Feminist Art Museum has signed a 2-year lease on our first physical space in Westerville, Ohio nestled at the edge of the Alum Creek River.
On March 28, 2026, we opened our doors for the very first time to a crowd! During our grand opening, everyone enjoyed the music of KELO; listened to queer fiction author Sara Elliot talk about her new book, The Shape of Grace, saw artwork created by Lisa Morris, Sheryl Lazenby, Lorraine Russo, and Tamala Murk; heard Janann Campbell talk about being the first woman sworn in to serve in the Washington National Guard; and enjoyed some of OFAM’s collection of women’s art donated by MK Wright.
Having a physical space is a new starting point for OFAM. Plans are taking shape for our new home to house our growing collection of feminist art, host exhibitions and events (both indoors and outdoors), and serve as a gathering place for women and like-minded allies across Ohio who are looking for connection, culture, and community.
The Ohio Feminist Art Museum is in its infancy and is being supported and grown by those who believe in the power of feminism. Thank you to all of you who have made this possible so far and stay tuned for what is coming next!
