Pride Month was an unforgettable celebration of creativity, courage, and community—and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor it than by opening the doors to our new museum gallery space in Westerville with our June 13 Pride Artist Event!
We were thrilled to introduce the first five artists to exhibit in our new space, each bringing a unique perspective and powerful voice to this inaugural exhibition.
Lisa Morris creates richly layered works using collage, paint, and found materials. Her pieces feel less like traditional compositions and more like discoveries—surfaces revealed through excavation, memory, and time.
Kenia LaMarr combines artistic practice with community advocacy, exploring how art can strengthen neighborhoods and enrich urban spaces. Her work champions creative placemaking and highlights the importance of making the arts accessible to everyone, especially vulnerable communities.
Debb Cusik has dedicated her artistic career to the beauty of glass. After studying at the Cincinnati Art Academy and training under Narcissus, she mastered innovative techniques in glass design and painting. Her exceptional talent has earned national recognition, including one of her stained-glass windows becoming part of the Smithsonian’s collection.
K. Rossi uses oil painting to celebrate queer identities and diverse body types. Centered on individual figures, the work explores vulnerability, resilience, and the complexity of the human experience while embracing body positivity and authentic representation.
Eve Salina draws upon her experience as an immigrant to create evocative, atmospheric works that explore themes of belonging, identity, and home. Her dreamlike imagery invites viewers into fragile spaces that blur the line between reality and imagination.
Together, these remarkable artists set the tone for a museum dedicated to inclusion, dialogue, and the transformative power of art. Their work reminds us that every story matters and that creativity has the power to build understanding, celebrate diversity, and bring communities together.
