Recently, I was recently driving through Worthington and saw a For Sale sign in front of a large, wooded property. I slowed down and because it was a winter day, I was able to see a beautiful building and land that would be perfect for the Ohio Feminist Art Museum. I contacted the realtor and began the process of buying the property.

The Worthington building has 4 floors and is 7600 sq ft in size; the first floor’s 2500 sq ft will be allocated to OFAM. The building was built in 1990 and has been vacant for the past 5; it needs repairs and upgrades. After processing my options with consultants and friends, I decided that I was committed to taking on the challenge of purchasing and remodeling the property and would turn a third of the building’s space into the Ohio Feminist Art Museum and social event venue to display and promote feminist art and culture.

We project the doors to OFAM will open in early Spring 2025. Until then, we will remodel the interior and exterior of the building and its surrounding property and will begin to host fundraising events to raise money for the museum’s expenses.
